RIZ GUKGAK AGENCY

Welcome one and all to the RIZ GUKGAK DETECTIVE AGENCY... in which he is not typically taking on active cases (unless you ask; he's a little embarrassed to solicit them at this point), but it's used as a handy dandy area in which one Mr. Gukgak can spiral focus on the numerous mysteries dotting the land of Etraya.

When you step in, it's like stepping into a noir movie scene; somehow, the light always filters through the blinds just so, over a cluttered desk made of solid wood, usually with two or more coffee mugs or disposable cups littering its surface. There's a small kitchenette tucked away behind a sliding door that appears to be used exclusively for its coffeemaking properties and the occasional slice of toast if Riz is feeling particularly responsible that day, well as bookcases lining the walls, filled with as many thick, non-fiction books as Riz was able to get his grubby little hands on. There are two chairs opposite the desk: thick, plush, comfortable, in stark contrast to the plain wooden chair that Riz himself sits in.

Concealed behind one of the bookcases is a secret locked steel door leading down to the basement.



When you step in... well, it looks like a mad man has made his home here. The walls are lined with papers and photographs joined by various coloured bits of string, as well as a trunk for his most secret files, hidden underneath two locks, a hidden drawer, and be careful -- he may have asked Gorgug to help him booby trap the thing. Just turn around and go back now. It's not a nice place to be.

You're staying? Okay, whatever floats your boat! Once you've finished taking in the madness, it becomes clear that there's a method to it -- it's all painstakingly laid out and organized, and arguably better organized than his desk upstairs. There are also a few other rooms here: a computer room/lab for conduction experiments in (perhaps in hopes that he'll stop simply tasting things), a humble bedroom, kitchenette and a bathroom for when he really can't tear himself away from his work. It also contains secret exits (goblin-sized, of course), emergency generators, and a fully functional security camera system.

You may never see Riz again.
